In the heart of the Andalusian culture

Apart from nearby Spanish villages and the town of Nerja, Malaga is well worth visiting. The beautifull new port site and extremely pleasant pedestrian-friendly town centre make Malaga the Barcelona of southern Spain. In Seville, the capital of Andalusia, you will see the highlights of the Andalusian culture. The Alhambra in Granada is a must for culture lovers and Cordoba with its Mezquita is certainly worth a visit. Villa Alegre is the perfect starting point from which to discover the Andalusian culture.

Magnificent private villa

The villa was built in 2003, renovated in 2014 and is fully equipped. The ground floor has 2 bedrooms with a separate bathroom with toilet, a spacious living room with open kitchen, a garden, a swimming pool and 2 spacious terraces. The upper floor has a bedroom, a bathroom with toilet and a spacious terrace with panoramic 360° view. The lower floor, also with sea view, consists of 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, a little garden and terrace.

Here you enjoy a lovely sense of space, away from any fuss and traffic.

Living in Andalusian atmosphere

In the living room on the ground floor comfortable chairs invite you to watch the news of your homeland or to relax with your favourite music. Contacting home or watching movies via broadband internet is not a problem in this quiet part of Spain thanks to free Wifi and Smart TV. The HD satelite TV is set on Astra, so you can receive channels from almost every European country. Rustic interior decoration gives the whole an authentic Andalusian touch.

Fun for the children

The children can enjoy themselves in the pool and in the garden surrrounding the house. In a cupboard in the livingroom there are all sorts of games and toys for them to play with such as water toys, giant mikado, playing blocks, board games, etc. There are also plenty of local activities such as pony rides, games on the sandy beach, a visit to children's playgrounds in Torrox Costa, or the child-friendly fountains in the square in Torrox Pueblo.

Culinary delights in the kitchen and with the BBQ

Andalusia means tapas, iberico meat dishes, delicious salads with fried chorizo en so much more. All of these can be prepared in the fully equipped kitchen which comes complete with oven, microwave, toaster, juicer, and so on. Towels and dishcloths are available. Of course you also have the BBQ on the terrace. If the result is a mountain of dishes and dirty laundry, you have a dishwasher and a washingmachine at your disposal. Should you do not feel like cooking, you can always go the a restaurant in the village or order a fully prepared meal to be delivered, at a very reasonable price.

On the Costa del Sol

A 15 minute drive you find yourself on the Costa del Sol. With its clean beaches and extensive infrastructure, visitors enjoy the numerous coastal cities. In the high season you will experience the typical hustle and bustle of children playing, tourists out walking, restaurants with sunny terraces, and so on.

Comfortable climate

Torrox is known for having "the best climate in Europe": a little cooler in summer and warmer in winter than the rest of southern Spain. When temperature soar, Villa Alegre remains pleasantly cool thanks to the covered terrace, sliding windows, pool and the airconditioning in every room. During the few cooler months it is also a pleasant place to stay thanks to the continuing Spanish sunshine, heating in every room and the cosy fire in the lounge.

Siësta at the pool

The swimming pool (28m²) is located on the south-western side of the property, so you can enjoy the sun even after 9 pm in the summer months. The pool is heated, which makes a comfortable water-temperature from march till november. The wide steps provide easy access to the water for adults and create a fun play area for children. Around the pool sun loungers and umbrellas form a perfect setting for you tho enjoy the peace of your well-deserved siësta.

Nature

The villa is surrounded by nature. Nearby is the beautiful national park of Sierra de Tejeda. Slightly further on you can discover the Alpujarra and Sierra Nevada, knows for their appeal to nature lovers in Andalusia. And of course there is the also the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea.

Beautifull starry night

A few hours after you admired the sunset from the pool, you are treated to a beautifull starry sky where you can even distinguish the galaxy. Viewing "Torrox by night", you find a peace within yourself, as youthing back to, or reminisce, about your beautifull day in Villa Alegre.

Numerous leisure facilities

Cycling, pony rides, horse riding, golf, etc. Everything is nearby.

No-worry service

No need to worry about linen, pooltowels, bath towels and kitchen towels as everything is available. Tired after your journey? No problem, the welcome pack awaits you and puts you in the right mood. Would you like a breakfast package for your first  morning? No problem, this is available at a reasonable price.

Cosy for 2 people, comfortable for 13

The rooms and floors of the villa are constructed in such a way as to make it perfectly cosy for 2 or 4 people, and yet able to accommadate up to 13 people. For groups of up to 6 people you can limit the area to the upper floor. Larger groups can rent the lower floor with it (see prices). This floor has 7 extra beds and is accessed via an outside staircase. It contains a bedroom (2p) and bathroom, a 2nd bedroom (2p) and bathroom and a 3rd bedroom (3p) with bunk beds, a single bed and bathroom.

You like privacy? No problem: we will not rent the lower level to other groups if you hire only the upper levels.

How to get there?

Numerous airlines (Ryanair, Vueling, SN Brussels Airlines, Tuifly, Transavia,...) fly to Malaga. Tip1: to fly cheaper, try to avoid weekends and school holidays. Tip2: if you cannot avoid school holidays, try to arrange your departure from airports within driving distance in regions or countries that have no school holidays at that time (for Belgians Eindhoven, for Dutch Ostend or Brussels etc...). In the airport of Malaga it is easy to rent a car (suggestions: Record Go, Goldcar, Malagacar, Delpaso, are all reliable). Tip3: When booking the car and its retrieval online do not allow yourself to be persuaded to take out any additional insurance for the car if you do not really want it. From the airport to Villa Alegre takes about 50 minutes. The final piece of the road runs into the mountains and winds to the top of the hill. You reach it perfectly with a normal car but take into account a steep mountain road at the end.
